The VirtuaLight VIB Exporter allows you to export your scene directly from Max to the VIB format used by the VirtuaLight GI Renderer. The plugin supports export of scene files (*.VIB), shader files (*.VS) and geometry (*.MSH).

The following features are supported:
- Colours and bitmaps can be used for the background.
- All objects are converted to VirtuaLight binary meshes.
- UV mapping supported.
- Smoothing groups are NOT yet supported.
- Target spots and omni lights are supported.
- If no lights are in the scene, Sunlight and Skylight are automatically added.
- Target cameras are supported. Free cameras must be changed to target cameras before exporting.
- Particle systems are NOT supported at present.
- Standard materials are supported.
- Diffuse, reflection, opacity and bump maps are exported.
- Bitmaps and AVI mappings are supported.
- Procedural textures are supported.
- Blinn and Phong shaders are supported, all other get converted to Cook.

Exports untextured models from Max to 3do files (used in Total Annihilation, a realtime strategy game) just like they appear in Max (without any trifaces if there aren't any in Max). The exporter needs an object named 'base' in the scene and will export all objects that are linked it. To easily link objects, use the link button or open schematic view. Since no textures are exported from Max the models still need to be textured in 3do Builder or any other suitable tool.

N-Patches are a higher-order surface primitive originally developed by ATI for DirectX 8. This plugin gives the artist the ability to create a viewport for previewing objects using N-Patch tesselation rules. In this version, the tesselation is done in software whenever the tesselation level is changed with the pop-up menu.
