Plugin Update: Texturing

Changes for v1.3.0 are:
- Fixes a bug where the Tile Set Designer used thereflection images for displacement
- The Mighty Library can now use network shares for the content
- The installer no longer installs the content directly

Mighty Tiles Pro is available for Max 2012 to 2015 and costs €238.80 per year. A demo version is available here.

New Plugin: Texturing

Materializer (materials equalizer) is a fast way to create materials by mixing different templates. It works like equalizer but for materials. For example: to make glossy wood press the 'Wood' button and then add a little bit of plastic. Every time you hit 'Set', the selected material will be updated without removing any of the maps.

Currently only V-Ray is supported.

Materializer is available for Max 2009 to 2015 and costs $19.

Plugin News: OmniTiles sneak peak...

VIZPARK have posted some information on their upcoming plugin OmniTiles (the plugin formerly known as UltraMap), which will soon be entering beta testing.

OmniTiles lifts the restriction on patterns being chains of square tiles. With the pattern editor, you can create any shape and virtually unlimited patterns for use in Max or game engines. You can modify existing patterns or create entirely new ones. Each shape / tile can have it's own map assigned, for example randomized bitmaps within each repeated tile, or procedural maps for more freedom.

Applications for beta testers are already being accepted, so if you are interested then head over to this page to apply.

Site News: Available for contract work...

This is my monthly news entry to let people know that I am always available for 3D work (I don't just run this site, and I don't earn any money from it).

My main areas of work are commercials, industrial and technical animation, as well as programming and scripting. All of the relevant information can be found on my other site Animation Design, along with some videos of my work to give you an idea of what I can do. So if I can help out at all, just let me know.


Site News: Calling all freeware plugin developers

If you are a plugin developer with source code for plugins that you don't develop anymore, it would be great if you could get in touch with me. I would be glad to recompile as many old plugins as possible to stop them from disappearing for ever. Just mail me to let me know what sort of stuff you've got.

On a side note, this is how the Messiah:studio plugins got recompiled for Max 9 to 2012, as well as all of the Sisyphus plugins, so it's worth sending stuff my way :o)
