Plugin Update: Animation

Changes for v3.02 are:
- Fixes a bug where the curve editor was unstable
- Fixes a bug with the 'P. Type' and 'Quantity' controls in 'Particle' mode in Max 2017

Plugin Update: Utilities

Changes for v1.26 are:

New Plugin: Import / Export

This exporter generates a Softimage dotXSI 3.0 file (supporting both ASCII and binary formats). This work is a major modification based on the source code for the Softimage Co. dotXSI xChange for 3ds Max Project (dotXSIMax v1.7). Please see the detailed readme file for installation, features, and usage. Also made available is the legacy FAQ from the Softimage Co. describing the features supported in the original 1.7 version.

New Plugin: Import / Export

This is an improved version of Pop'N'Fresh's original 3ds Max MD3 exporter for Quake III MD3 models. The following major fixes and features have been implemented:
- Correct vertex normals supporting both Smoothing Groups and the Edit Normals Modifier
- Bounding box calculation for each frame
- Improved error checking and validation
- Exports valid Q3A path names
- Exports LODs to separate MD3 files with correct LOD file names
- An export statistics dialog provides actual triangle / vertex counts for exported geometry


New Plugin: MCG

You can use this MCG modifier for easy access to bones that are 'buried' inside your mesh.


Plugin Update: Animation

Changes for v2.1.2 are:
- Structural changes to the application updater
- Fixes an issue where actors below a certain height would not be properly assigned to a seat
- Export pack methods used by other applications will now create a directory if it doesn't exist
- Fixes a mesh corruption issue with external renderers (like V-Ray) in Max 2017

New Plugin: MCG

MCG Proxy Vehicle allows you to quickly create vehicle stand-ins for previs. It comes with a load of presets for cars, trucks, a wheelchair and even the Batmobile.

Changes for v0.44 alpha are:
- Fixes a bug when the old viewport wasn't locked in IPR when viewports are switching

- cntlTexture now supports all image formats that are supported by Max itself
- 3rd-party light sources are now converted to CentiLeo uber-lights

New Plugin: Modelling

Maproom helps you build great maps in a fraction of the time usually needed. It downloads the data you need: satellite imagery, digital terrains, building outlines and roads and combines it into a single map. No more messing around with screengrabbed satellite images and trying to match them up with other data.

Features:
- Terrains - create terrains with global datasets using SRTM1, SRTM3 and ETOPO
- Satellite images - use images from many sources such as Bing, Mapbox or DigitalGlobe
- Openstreetmap - add OSM vector data to your map
